Marty Heiser

Board of Finance

Professional & Community Background
Marty served on the Board of Finance for 24 years and as Chairman for 9 years. Some of his
notable achievements were his involvement with the Bundle, public-private initiatives such
as Tiger Hollow, The Prospector Theater, The Playhouse and Tiger Baseball Park. He serves
on the Boards of the Ridgefield Boys and Girls Club and Young Life Regional. Marty is the
owner and operator of Service Unlimited.
Why I’m Running

  • In June, I was endorsed by the Ridgefield Republican Town Committee to be the candidate to fill Chris Murray’s vacated Board of Selectmen seat. Unfortunately, along with four of my Republican colleagues, the BOS chose another person. This experience has rekindled my desire to step up and help the community that I love dearly.

  • The main issues that Ridgefield is facing today are the need for a new Public Safety Building, the $180M RPS Master Capital Plan and the constant rising fees such as the Sewer Fees.

  • I would like to bring my experience, specifically with the Board of Finance, and The Bundle, to help address these significant future costs that we face.

Priorities If Elected

  • As a long time Ridgefielder, the one-party rule has disenfranchised many of you. I will be your voice on all issues.

  • In June, the fix was in with the Board of Selectmen. Their decision doesn’t pass the smell test. We can fix that together.

  • No more rubber stamping these backdoor deals. It’s time to pull back the curtains and expose the true costs to the community.
