★ Republican Nominee · 2026

Ryan Fazio

For Governor of Connecticut
State Senator, 36th District · Greenwich, CT

Ryan is a friend of the Ridgefield RTC and the endorsed Republican candidate for Connecticut Governor. He won the GOP nomination at the Connecticut Republican State Convention with roughly 92% of the delegate vote on the first ballot.

A state senator representing Greenwich and parts of Stamford and New Canaan since 2021, Ryan is best known for co-authoring the law requiring utilities to itemize “public benefits” charges on electric bills — bringing transparency to one of the biggest drivers of Connecticut’s electric rates.

Where He Stands

  • Lower electric rates — reduce “public benefits” charges that are driving up bills.
  • Cut taxes — a 1.5-point income tax cut for middle-income households and a cap on annual property tax increases.
  • Fiscal discipline — defend the state's spending cap, volatility cap, and bonding cap.
  • Make Connecticut affordable — cut occupational licensing fees and recover income taxes Connecticut residents pay to neighboring states.

Faces incumbent Democrat Ned Lamont in the November 3, 2026 general election.

Blake Consentino

CT House · District 111

Blake is a proud third-generation Ridgefielder, raised on West Mountain Road in the same home where his grandmother raised his mother more than fifty years ago — the same home where he hopes to one day raise his own children. He is running for State Representative because he believes Ridgefield deserves leadership that will fight to preserve what makes this town special: local control, natural beauty, and a sense of community that generations of residents have worked to protect.

Public service runs deep in his family. His grandfather, Joseph Consentino, was known for his contributions to local baseball and the Ridgefield Playhouse. His mother, Susan Consentino, served on Ridgefield's Planning & Zoning Commission — and after an eight-month battle with stage 4 cancer, Blake lost her two years ago. Her commitment to Ridgefield shaped his belief that the people who live here should have the strongest voice in deciding their town's future.

Key Issues

  • Repeal 8-30G and restore local zoning control
  • Preserve Ridgefield's forests, farms, wetlands, and historic stone walls
  • Create a Long-Term Residency Tax Relief Program for longtime homeowners, RHS graduates, and seniors
  • Prevent institutional investors from buying single-family homes
  • Modernize the Danbury Rail Line with more frequent, on-time service
  • Implement a voluntary firearm safekeeping program with local law enforcement
